Things to do
Centrally located in the lower North island, this means Wellington city is never far away approximately 40 minutes by car or train, the airport is close at hand and should you wish collection/drop off this can be pre-booked.
The fabulous Kapiti coast is within easy driving distance and the Waiararpa wineries are a hop across the hills and you are right in the heart of some of the most famous vineyard's in the New World.
There is lots to do in the local area including:
- Wairarapa winery visits
- Canoeing on the Hutt river
- Surfing - in Lyall Bay
- Walking/cycling - in the Tararuas
or on the Rimutaka rail trail
- Fly fishing the Hutt river and many streams in the area
- Horse riding at the local stables
